Integrated Reference-Class Amplifier
The H600 is our reference integrated amplifier. With 303 watts into 8 ohms, a 4000 damping factor and the ability to run the amplifier at 2 ohms, this powerhouse can drive any speaker with confidence and ease. The amplifier
is a dual-mono design, which is as close as possible to the performance of two mono amplifiers in a single cabinet. It also features a state-of-the-art preamp with the extremely precise volume control found in our reference
P30A preamp. The entire electronic circuitry has been developed in-house using the highest quality components. This gives us unprecedented control over the entire amplification process. When we combine this with our
SoundEngine2 - a patented electronic circuit-based error correction system - we get an audio signal as close as possible to the original recording.
The H600’s D/A converter, with a 24-bit/384 kHz input, features a bit-perfect design that offers pure audio reproduction without resampling or upsampling. The DAC has a large, separate power supply to ensure an unaltered
and stable power supply, and is shielded by a thick steel plate to prevent interference from other electrical components in the amplifier. The result is a state-of-the-art D/A converter with incredible resolution and smoothness.
The cabinet is made of aluminium to improve audio performance. It consists of a solid base and top cover with ventilation holes milled in two layers for added strength and air circulation. Large aluminium feet with a scratch-resistant design provide excellent stability and reduced vibration, while high-quality RCA connectors and optimised positioning of analogue and digital connections are responsible for less noise and better channel separation. The
large rotary controls are equipped with touch controls, making the amplifier effortless and intuitive to operate. They also feel very comfortable and make every adjustment a pleasure.
At Hegel, we believe that great sound should not come at the expense of ease of use. That’s why the H600 has a comprehensive list of streaming options. It supports UPnP streaming, Spotify Connect, Airplay 2, Tidal Connect
